Whether you’re an amateur chef or a home cook or a professional, things are about to really heat up in the next season of Masterchef India. Here’s a ready reckoner for what to expect on Season 5
Fans of celebrity masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor have to get ready for the biggest change. Delhi-based chef Zorawar Kalra has stepped into Kapoor’s shoes to join chef Vikas Khanna of the New York-based restaurant Junoon and chef Kunal Kapur, founder chef of the Dubai restaurant Patiala, who replaced chef Ranveer Brar in the last season.
This is Kalra’s debut on TV. Kalra has a huge culinary legacy backing him. He is the son of masterchef and restaurateur Jiggs Kalra, and is definitely going to be watching all the participants with a keen eye. Kalra Jr’s own restaurants offer a range of cuisines from pan-Asian to modern Indian.
Khanna, who has been on the show since its second season, has talked about how the new season will introduce the audience to authentic recipes from across the country. While chef Kapur has hinted that home chefs will be part of the show again.
