SBOW opens in Thane today

There’s good news for Thane-ites who are fans of SodaBottleOpenerWala. SBOW has just opened its first outlet in the city. Located at Viviana Mall, the restaurant, which has been inspired by Mumbai’s Irani cafes, will serve every dish that has made it extremely popular since its launch in Gurgaon in 2013. The menu will offer Parsi specialties such as Dhansak, Paatra ni Macchi, Berry Pulao and Salli Mutton, among others.

Vegetarians, too, have it good at SBOW, and can look forward to the Breach Candy Awesome Okra, which is a take on the okra dish at the eponymous club in Mumbai, Bharuchi Paneer Akuri and Brinjal Patio. Plus, the Irani bakery menu will offer the classic Parsi Ginger Biscuit, Shrewsberry biscuit and Lagan nu Custard. As far as drinks go, besides the Irani chai, which is of course de rigeur for place that is a tribute to Irani cafes, one can sip on Sekan-Je-Bin, made from dried plums, mint and jaggery and the famous Raspberry Soda, which is made in-house.

The Thane outlet is the seventh SBOW eatery in the country. After debuting in Gurgaon, it has made its presence felt in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Noida.
