Know an Aeropress from a Frenchpress at this coffee masterclass

American comedian Jerry Seinfeld has famously been quoted saying, “We want to do a lot of stuff; we’re not in great shape. We didn’t get a good night’s sleep. We’re a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup.” All caffeine addicts will agree that if you don’t get that perfect cup of coffee, your day just isn’t made. This weekend, coffee lovers in Delhi can get together to make sure that they wake up to some fantastic brew every day at speciality coffee retailer Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters’ brewing class.

Brewing a good cup needn’t be an elaborate art if you can get your basics right – the ratio of coffee to water, brewing time, the quality of water used, how the coffee powder is stored and so on. The afternoon class will include a thorough step-by-step guide to brew coffee using a Pourover, Aeropress and Frenchpress. And by the end of the class, you will be able to make yourself a decent cup even don’t have any brewing equipment at home.

You will also get to sample cold-coffee based drinks such as Coffee Tonic and Cold Brew at the end of the session. While restaurants and cafes such as Bhane café and Café Lota have been serving Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters’ brew in Delhi, they’ve been winning over several caffeine addicts with their single estate coffees and small lot coffees since they launched in 2013. In fact, their blog too includes several helpful tips on coffee brewing.
