Cocktails on call for your next house party

If you have a party to throw over the weekend, but no time to finish all the prep work for the sangria or cocktails, you now have Bartender in A Bottle (BIB) to the rescue. Mumbai restobar The Daily Bar & Kitchen has just launched BIB, a service for all kinds of cocktail and sangria emergencies. The deal is meaner than any of the happy hours we’ve had in the suburbs.

For Rs 1,500 (inclusive of taxes), you get either 50 cocktails or 25 sangrias. The Daily Bar & Kitchen has an extensive cocktail menu with 16 kinds of signature cocktails, six pre-prohibition cocktails including our favourite Mary Pickford (named after the Canadian American actress), which is a sweet head rush of white rum, pineapple juice and cherry, 11 kinds of molecular cocktails, five types of tiki cocktails and 12 classics to choose from. Of course, you can only choose one kind of cocktail per bottle, but who has ever heard of a party ending with just one kind of cocktail?

So whether it’s a classic such as the Long Island Iced Tea, which is probably everybody’s favourite, or one of The Daily Bar & Kitchen’s signature cocktails such as Bombay Nasty (dark rum, cucumber, mint, watermelon, coriander and pineapple juice), BIB will make them for you. They only need a 15-minute notice (we called and checked) but you’ll need to pick up your bottle from The Daily Bar & Kitchen in Bandra, even though the bar says that it is a delivery service on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
